Clementine Newborn

Let’s talk newborn photos. Some people are really into the “pose the naked baby in the basket” kind of thing. Hey, I’ve even done it on occasion if that’s what someone wanted. However, what I am really into is newborn lifestyle sessions like this. Pretty images that aren’t distracting or cluttered, but are also showing more than a gauze-wrapped baby in a magical dreamland. I’m not knocking those if that’s what you want! It’s just not what I offer.

My newborn lifestyle sessions are filled with lots of images of your nursery (if you want it photographed), your family, siblings (if your baby has them) and just mom and dad cuddling up with their new precious bundle. I do, of course, photograph some solo shots of your new baby in a favorite outfit or wrapped in a favorite blanket. I try to photograph all of his/her little details that you’ll want to remember as the weeks pass (too quickly, might I add!) For these sessions, I come to your home and document your life with “flair”. In other words, it doesn’t have to be purely photojournalistic. You can do your hair and makeup and wear something you feel beautiful in! Keep in mind-I’m able to do some creative cropping. You don’t have to make your house spotless, just shove everything you don’t want in pictures into a room you don’t want photographed. I am NOT going to judge you or the cleanliness of your house right after you had a baby! That would be nuts. Just be as you are and pretend I’m your Great Aunt Bertha. (Or any close friend or relative.)

Little Clementine’s session is a special one. Tim and Elisabeth are first time parents and I love the way you can see it in their heart-melted expressions and in the way Tim holds Clementine like she is the most delicate flower. They are such a beautiful family and I always enjoy our time together.
